#810 - Design, Inspection & Evaluation of Refractory Materials for Refineries

Course Objective

Upon completion of this practical, applications-oriented course, participants will have a thorough understanding of the design, inspection, and evaluation requirements of refractory systems for the Hydrocarbon Processing Industry (HPI), Chemical Processing Industry (CPI), power generation industries, and similar facility applications. The course will also serve to help participants prepare for the API-936 certification exam.

Inspection, engineering, technical practitioners, and managers who are responsible for the design, installation, inspection, repair, and evaluation of refractory systems in the HPI, CPI, and power generation industries.

Course Description

This course discusses the design, installation, inspection, and repair of refractory systems for pressure vessels, piping systems, and fired equipment.  The discussions include practical examples of refractory systems in demanding applications (such as FCCU's, Fluid Cokers, fired heaters and boilers, and other refractory lined equipment), and are illustrated by photos and a video
